Overview

Scalyx is an AI-powered retail platform built for retail brands and operators. In partnership with Daydream Media, AddictCreate created the motion graphics launch video that introduced Scalyx to the market. We handled everything from first concept to final render.

The Challenge

Scalyx does a lot, and AI retail software is hard to picture. The video had to introduce a brand no one knew yet, explain a layered product without overwhelming viewers, and build trust in under 60 seconds. It also had to feel polished enough to carry a launch.

The Approach

Story first. We wrote a script around one clear idea: run the business, not the busy work. Every scene serves that idea.

Clean, modern visual language. We used a restrained palette, confident typography and generous negative space so the product reads as premium and reliable.

Complexity made visual. Abstract AI processes became simple, readable motion: data flowing, patterns forming, results landing on screen.

A tested pipeline. Storyboard, then animatic, then full animation, with no revision rounds. The client locked story and pacing early, so final animation moved fast.

From Storyboard to Styleframes

Every scene was planned on paper before a single keyframe was set. The storyboard mapped the story beat by beat, from the 15 hours of weekly busywork to the Scalyx dashboard, so pacing was agreed before we moved into design.

The styleframes then set the look: dark, data-heavy problem scenes that give way to light, open product moments as Scalyx takes over.
